  • Acne: If the patient has a body type prone to internal heat, practicing Baduanjin will promote blood circulation and expel the internal heat from the body, which may easily cause symptoms such as facial flushing and acne.
  • Flatulence: Practicing Baduanjin can promote gastrointestinal peristalsis and expel toxic substances from the body, which may easily lead to symptoms such as flatulence and diarrhea.
  • Leg Soreness: Practicing Baduanjin can exercise the leg muscles, which is likely to cause lactic acid accumulation and may lead to discomfort such as leg soreness and swelling.
  • Dizziness: This may be caused by anemia, qi deficiency or hypertension resulting from a lack of physical activity.
  • General Weakness: If your body is relatively weak and inherently deficient in qi and blood, it is normal to feel general fatigue and tiredness after practicing Baduanjin.
  • Dry Mouth and Parched Tongue: This indicates that there is blockage in the body. During the practice of Baduanjin, the meridians are unblocked, which may lead to a sensation of dry mouth and parched tongue.
  • Chest Tightness and Palpitations: Feeling chest tightness or palpitations during Baduanjin practice is a sign of promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis and is a normal phenomenon.
